Electrical panels are extremely important. They supply energy and power to the entire property. All commercial and residential properties have electrical panels. They must be maintained, repaired and installed as necessary. The electrical panel is also referred to as a breaker box. This is the heart of the electrical system.

There are many things that can go wrong with an electric panel. Damaged cables, moisture, bad wiring, an old panel, and underpowered or overpowered panels can are all reasons to have an electrician check out the breaker box.  Faulty installation and wear from weather changes are two main reasons most electrical boxes fail at supplying the power they need. The only people that should handle these repairs and inspections are electricians.

Signs that an Electrical Panel Needs Inspection or Upgrade

  • Circuit breaker trips
  • Flickering lights
  • Crackling sounds or heat coming from electrical outlets, lights or breaker box
  • Frequent blown fuses
  • Property renovation or appliance installation

It is highly recommended that all electrical panels are inspected by professionals on an annual basis. This yearly inspection acts as preventative maintenance and can help you save money by avoiding any potential hazards.
